Our Story

Started by Architects. Built for Millwork Shops.

Millwork Drawings was founded by a group of architects and CAD professionals who saw a gap in the market: millwork shops were either handling drawings in-house with overstretched drafters, or outsourcing to generalist firms that didn't understand production requirements.

We set out to build something different — a dedicated drafting service staffed by specialists who understand the difference between design drawings and shop drawings, who know what happens when dimensions don't add up on the shop floor, and who treat every project as if their own name is on the shop ticket.

Today, we work with independent cabinet makers, regional millwork manufacturers, commercial woodwork shops, and interior designers across the United States — from New York, New Jersey, and Florida to Texas, California, and the Pacific Northwest. Our clients range from single-person shops outsourcing overflow work to 50-person operations running a continuous volume of projects through our team.

Work With Us
How We Work

Our Principles

The values that guide every drawing we produce and every client relationship we build.

Production First

We think about the shop floor, not just the drawing. Every detail we include is there because it helps someone cut, assemble, or install correctly.

Clear Communication

We ask questions upfront, confirm scope before starting, and flag issues early. No scope creep, no assumptions, no rework surprises.

On-Time Delivery

We take deadlines seriously because we know a late drawing can hold up your whole shop. We confirm realistic timelines and stick to them.

Continuous Improvement

Every project is a chance to refine our process. We track feedback, update our templates, and invest in training to stay current with industry standards.

Long-Term Partnerships

Our best client relationships are ongoing — where we learn your standards, your hardware preferences, your title block, and become an extension of your team.

Confidentiality

Your designs, your clients, your projects — never shared, never repurposed. NDAs on every engagement, enforced across our entire team.

Our Process

From First Contact to Final Drawing

1

Discovery Call

For new clients, we start with a 15-minute call to understand your shop's standards, preferred formats, and typical project types.

2

Scope & Quote

You submit a project brief. We review the inputs, clarify any ambiguities, and provide a written estimate within 2 hours.

3

Drafting & QC

Work begins immediately after approval. A senior drafter reviews all drawings before delivery for dimension accuracy and completeness.

4

Delivery & Support

Files delivered in your required format. Revision requests handled within 4–8 hours. Your project manager stays available through final sign-off.
